Quattroporte Series I

The prototype was presented at the 1963 Turin show and went into production shortly after in 1964. There were a number of changes during the life of the vehicle: the single rectangular headlights each being replaced by two circular ones in 1965 and the De Dion bridge replaced with a rigid rear axle in 1966 at which time the 4.7 litre V8 from the Mexico became available.
