Pavilion Restaurant lunch

2 April 2006

On a glorious day, we took a run to Mt Tambourine to partake of lunch at the Pavilion Restaurant. As we gathered and perused the menu, we were still short of 3 guests for lunch. Suddenly, Roger took a call from Angelo who said he and the girls were in the Saab at the bottom of the hill without the use of a full range of gears! With a choice of reverse, third or fourth, he decided to limp home while there was still at least some gear selection. A moment later, he rang again - after restarting the car, he had acquired some additional gear choices and decided, like the intrepid explorer he is, to continue up the mountain! (Does it serve him right for driving a Saab?)

Once he, Pia and Katerina arrived, our small group ordered lunch. Set in beautiful gardens highlighted by statuary and teeming with brightly coloured birds, bush turkeys and the odd blue tongue lizard, we enjoyed a great lunch cooked by our waitress (or so she claimed to much merriment).

It was such an enjoyable relaxing venue, no doubt we will return one day (hopefully with a few more members in tow!)
