Cruise to Stradbroke Island

Two of our members, who are also boat captains, offered to let us use their luxury boats for a Club outing to Stradbroke Island. We all assembled at Raby Bay Marina, where Stephen Dowling's boat "Alkira" and Arthur Nommensen's boat "Its All About Freedom" docked. The large group of people split, so that we each had a ride on a different boat on the way in and out.
Upon arrival on North Stradbroke Island, we checked into the Little Ship Club - a combined eatery/beer garden. We had a great lunch and listened to some incredible fish stories. We then embarked on the return journey back to the mainland, although it was some time before members would leave the dock to allow the captains to return their vessels to their moorings!
